Aguda, Surulere – June 9, 2026

The Executive Chairman of Coker-Aguda Local Council Development Area, Hon. Ogidan Azeez, has commenced the construction of Asiri Akofa Street in the Aguda community, a strategic link road connecting Brown Road and Adetola Road.

The project forms part of the administration’s commitment to improving infrastructure, enhancing connectivity, and providing quality road networks across the LCDA. Asiri Akofa Street is among the roads that remained untarred for decades despite its importance to residents and motorists.

Beyond the road construction, the project will provide a comprehensive drainage system where none previously existed, helping to address poor drainage and improve environmental conditions within the area.

Street lights will also be installed upon completion to enhance security, improve nighttime visibility, and further modernise the street.

The construction is expected to significantly improve accessibility, ease movement within the neighbourhood, and contribute to the area’s socio-economic development.
