About the Youth Council
The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Coker/Aguda Branch, is the officially recognized umbrella body for all youth organizations within Coker, Aguda, and Orile-Iganmu communities.
Established in 2008, the branch was created to provide a structured and unified voice for young people in the LCDA, in line with the NYCN Constitution.
The Council focuses on youth empowerment, leadership development, community engagement, and advocacy. Through training programmes, outreach initiatives, and collaborative projects, NYCN Coker-Aguda promotes peace, civic responsibility, and meaningful youth participation in local governance and community development.
What We Do
Developing Young People and Communities
The Council creates opportunities for young people to participate, lead and contribute meaningfully to Coker-Aguda LCDA.
Leadership Development
Preparing responsible youth leaders to serve their organisations and communities effectively.
Community Engagement
Outreach and collaborative projects that promote peace, service and civic responsibility.
Advocacy
Representing youth interests and encouraging meaningful participation in local governance.
