A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE COKER-AGUDA COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE (CDC) AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION (CDAs)
The establishment of the Coker-Aguda Community Development Committee (CDC) commenced with the advent of the establishment of Coker-Aguda Local Council Development Area in October 2003. The Coker-Aguda LCDA was carved out from the then Surulere Local Government likewise Itire-Ikate Local Council Development Area.
The 37 LCDAs out of the 20 Local Governments were initiated and established by the then Executive Governor of Lagos State Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who later became the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The Coker-Aguda Community Development Committee came into existence in October 2003 with eighteen (18) CDAs initially, and later became nineteenth (19) CDA, when Oduduwa Community Development Association later joined the train of the Coker-Aguda LCDA from Itire-Ikate LCDA.
