The Executive Chairman of Coker-Aguda LCDA, Hon. Ogidan Azeez, accompanied by the Leader of the Legislative House, Hon. Bowale Afeez, and some councillors, paid a working visit to Atara Primary School to mark the successful completion of the LCDA’s Summer ICT Training Programme.
The training, facilitated by Mr. Lanre Ogunsakin and Mr. Tijani, the Council’s Head of ICT Department, introduced participants to the beginner phase of Information and Communication Technology. Both facilitators commended the Ogidan administration for sustaining youth-focused programmes while appealing for more computer systems to accommodate the growing number of interested students.
In his remarks, Hon. Ogidan applauded the foresight of the previous administration in establishing the Atara ICT Centre and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to expanding access to digital literacy. He said consultations were underway with relevant authorities to introduce weekend ICT classes after school resumed, ensuring continued learning opportunities for young people in Coker-Aguda.
The event concluded with the formal presentation of certificates and brochures to all participating students. These gestures reinforce the Ogidan administration’s drive to empower the next generation with relevant skills for the digital age.
