Muhammed Umar Faruq is a grassroots community advocate who fosters productive relationships between the council and residents. As Special Assistant on Community and Civil Engagement, he promotes inclusiveness, civic participation, and community development across Coker-Aguda LCDA.

Biography
Muhammed Umar Faruq was born on 23 July 1992 and is married. He currently serves as the Special Assistant on Community and Civil Engagement in Coker-Aguda LCDA, where he plays a key role in fostering relationships between the council and grassroots communities.
He began his early education at Balagudeen Junior Academy and proceeded to Blue Royal Secondary School for his secondary education.
Faruq has professional experience from his time at the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Yaba, where he contributed to service delivery in a structured public institution.
Politically, he has demonstrated consistent grassroots involvement, serving three times as Assistant Youth Leader in Bale Ward. He also served as Secretary of the Arewa Community in Coker-Aguda LCDA, strengthening community cohesion and participation. He represents Bale Ward in his current capacity.
He is an active member of the Youth Council in Coker-Aguda LCDA and also participates in his ward’s Community Development Association (CDA). His commitment to grassroots development is evident through his continuous engagement and service within Bale Ward.
Faruq enjoys watching football and staying informed through news media. He is driven by a passion for community development, inclusiveness, and effective civic engagement.
