Salami Oye, popularly known as Saddam, is an experienced administrator and grassroots leader with a strong background in education, public service, and community development. As Secretary to the Local Government, he provides strategic administrative coordination and policy support.

Biography
Salami Oye, popularly known as Saddam, is an experienced administrator and grassroots leader with a strong background in education, public service, and community development. Born on 5 March, he is married and currently serves as the Secretary to the Local Government (SLG) of Coker-Aguda LCDA, where he provides strategic administrative coordination and policy support.
He began his primary education at State Primary School, Marine Beach, Apapa, Lagos, completing it in 1984. He proceeded to United Christian Secondary School, Apapa, where he obtained his secondary school certificate in 1988/89.
He holds a Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) from Lagos State University of Education, Otto/Ijanikin (1993), a Bachelor of Arts (B.A. Hons) degree from the University of Benin (1999), and a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree from the University of Lagos, Akoka (2007/08). He also possesses a National Diploma (ND) in Film and Photography.
Salami has extensive experience in the public sector, having served with the Lagos State Ministry of Education (District V), where he contributed to educational administration and development.
His political and leadership journey is marked by active participation at various levels, including serving as an LGA Executive Committee Member in Surulere and Coker-Aguda, Election Collating Officer, and Ward Executive Member. He has also demonstrated strong leadership within the Nasrul-Lahi-l-Fatih Society (NASFAT), serving as both Branch Chairman and a member of the Zonal Executive Committee.
He previously served as Personal Assistant to the Supervisor for Education, Coker-Aguda LCDA (2003), and later as Special Adviser on Environmental Sanitation and Enforcement, as well as Transportation (2017), showcasing his versatility in governance and administration.
He is a member of the Visual Arts Teachers Association of Nigeria (VATAN) and the Society of Nigerian Artists (SNA). His community involvement includes serving as General Secretary and Welfare Officer of Coker South CDA (2007–2011), as well as Secretary of the Coker Joint CDA (2009), contributing significantly to grassroots development and community organisation.
Salami enjoys watching news and playing football. He is known for his leadership capacity and results-oriented approach, guided by core values of teamwork, accountability, and goal-driven service.
